Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attends the opening of a new Avantium sustainable factory on 22 October 2024 in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The sustainable Avantium factory will produce furanic acid, the chemical building block for the fully plant-based and circular plastic polyethylene furanoate.
