Denmark's newly proclaimed King Frederik X and Queen Mary, Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine wave from the balcony of Christiansborg Palace. King Frederik X took over the throne from Queen Margrethe II on 14 January 2024. The change of throne was proclaimed from the balcony of Christiansborg Castle by Prime Minister Mette Fredrikssen.
