Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visit Theatre Royal on June 23, 2021 in London, England. Theatre Royal Drury is the oldest theatre site in continuous use in the world, since 1812, every reigning British monarch has attended performances in the current theatre. In 2000 Andrew Lloyd Webber bought the theatre and in 2019 along with his wife Madeleine embarked on a 2 year project to completely restore Theatre Royal. They were keen to create a space that will see the building alive throughout the day for everyone, whether or not they are coming to see a show.
